Registration Requirements

All children entering kindergarten must be five years of age on or before September 1, 2010.

All children entering first grade must be six years of age by September 1, 2010

Registration will not be complete until all of the following requirements are met:

  1. Two Proofs of Residency in the Briargrove Zone:
    1. Light, gas water, cable or home phone bill ONLY (no cell phone bills).
    2. If leasing, first and last page of CURRENT lease with child's name listed as an occupant, along with the name and phone number of the manager/land lord.

    3. A Picture ID of parent showing residency in Briargrove Attendance Zone   

  2. Birth Certificate and Social Security Card.

  3. Final Report Card indicating grade level placement for children entering 1st thru 5th grades only.

  4. Immunization Records: 

    1. DPT booster  - Need 4 doses (last dose since age 4)

    2. Polio - Need 3 doses (last dose at age 4)

    3. Two doses of MMR vaccine 

    4. Three doses Hepatitis B

    5. Varicella (chicken pox) vaccine - 2 doses for Kindergartners only, or proof of disease.  1 dose vaccine for 1st - 5th graders or proof of disease.

    6. Pneumoccal Conjugate vaccine

Registration for new students will be May 4, 5 and 6 from 9 a.m. until noon.

------ Mini Kindergarten ------ for Students entering Kindergarten 2009-2010

MINI-KINDERGARTEN
Briargrove Mini-Kindergarten will be held this year on February 18 and 25 from 9:15 until 10:30 a.m.    Mini-Kindergarten is a longstanding Briargrove tradition for prospective kindergartners and their parents.  Both sessions will include information for our parents about the registration process and academic expectations for the kindergarten year.  
The PTO will also be there to explain activities and fundraising endeavors throughout the school year.   The children will spend time in the classrooms with the kindergarten teachers. 

If you live in the Briargrove attendance zone and plan to enroll your child in Kindergarten at Briargrove Elementary for the 2010-2011 school year, we invite you to attend our Mini-K.  To be eligible for kindergarten your child must be five years old on or before September 1, 2010.
